Disease and Insect Control

At Alive Tree Care we have several insect protection programs tailored to fit your trees needs. We have a yearly insect protection program that helps protect against over 30 types of insects. Aphids, borers, Japanese Beetles, Lacebugs, Leafhoppers, Leafminers and scale are just a few of the insects that can be treated using our 12-month insecticide program.

Emerald Ash Borer   is a major concern for many homeowners in Central Illinois. In the summer of 2014 Emerald Ash Borer was discovered in both Peoria and Tazewell County. Emerald Ash Borer has killed over 40 million Ash trees in Michigan alone. Millions of more Ash trees will be killed throughout the state of Illinois from this destructive pest. A two year Insecticide IV Infusion with Emamectin Benzoate is one of the insect treatment options offered by Alive Tree Care for Emerald Ash Borer. Emamectin Benzoate offers 24 months of coverage against Emerald Ash Borer. It is the only chemical known to offer two complete years of control. According to university studies Emamectin Benzoate is the most effective product on the market.

Spraying is another insect control option for customers. Spraying can be an effective control measure for certain insects. Bagworms, mites, Japanese beetles, scale and ants are some of the insects we spray for at Alive Tree Care. To learn more about Spraying Click Here.
